What is new
Every published Wishly website can now receive a reply. When your visitor finishes your website, a small 💌 Reply button appears, and a friendly box asks if they want to say something back to the person who made it for them.
- A reply can be a message, an emoji, or both
- The visitor does not need an account or a password
- You are the only one who sees the reply
How it works for the person who opens your link
- 1
Open your website
They tap your link and go through your website as usual.
- 2
Reach the end
When the story ends, the Reply button and a small prompt show up on their own. It does not interrupt the experience while they are still watching.
- 3
Write a name, a message or an emoji
They add their name, then a message of up to 500 characters, or one of eight emojis like ❤️, 🥳 or 🔥. A message or an emoji is enough.
- 4
Send
One tap and it is on its way. Their name is remembered on that device, so replying again is quicker.
How you receive it
Replies reach you in two places so you do not miss them. Each one shows who sent it, what they wrote, and which of your websites it came from.
- A private notification in your Wishly account
- An email to the address of your Wishly account (for example, your Gmail)
Replies are private
A reply is never shown on your website or anywhere else on Wishly. Only you, through your signed-in account, can read it. The reply box also has spam protection, so a link that is shared widely cannot be used to flood your inbox.
Good to know: notifications are kept for 7 days
Notifications, including visitor replies, are deleted automatically after 7 days, and there is no separate reminder when this happens. If a reply matters to you, save it somewhere safe within those 7 days. The email you receive is your own copy in your inbox.
Make a website worth replying to
A reply is the best way to know your website landed. Pick a template that matches the moment, add real photos and your own words, then publish and send the link.
